  • Zollinger-Ellison syndrome: Initially, 60mg once daily in the morning, with a maximum dose of 120mg per day if needed. Daily doses exceeding 100mg should be divided into two doses.
  • Peptic ulcer: 20mg once daily in the morning for 4-8 weeks for duodenal ulcer, or 6-12 weeks for gastric ulcer.
  • H. pylori infection: Combination therapy for 1 week. Xorel 20mg Capsule twice daily combined with clarithromycin and either amoxicillin or metronidazole.
  • Erosive esophagitis: 20mg per day for 4-8 weeks. The maintenance dose is either 10mg or 20mg per day, to be taken once in the morning.

Child Dose:

Delayed-release capsule (sprinkles):

  • <1 year: Safety and efficacy not established.
  • 1-11 years (<15 kg): 5mg once daily, 30 minutes before a meal, for up to 12 weeks. The dose may be increased to 10mg daily if the response is inadequate.
  • 1-11 years (>15 kg): 10mg once daily, 30 minutes before a meal, for up to 12 weeks.

Delayed-release tablet:

  • <12 years: Safety and efficacy not established.

12 years: 20mg once daily for up to 8 weeks.

Renal Dose:

  • No dosage adjustment is needed for patients with renal impairment.
